ArtzmaniaNG: How did Goldstitche handmade jewelry come to life, and what inspired you to start your jewelry-making journey in Nigeria?
Goldstitche: The Holy Spirit inspired me to take the handcraft path. Without his nudge, the raw talent could have remained hidden and unexplored. The birth of Goldstitche handmade jewelry stemmed from a passion for creating unique and extraordinary fashion products for stylish and confident women.
ArtzmaniaNG: What inspires your jewelry designs?
Goldstitche: I draw my inspiration from my environment: nature, textures, shapes, patterns, and colors.ArtzmaniaNG: How would you describe the signature elements or characteristics that define your polymer clay jewelry creations?
Goldstitche: I will describe in 3 words: Bold, Exquisite and Timeless
ArtzmaniaNG: What challenges are you facing in working with polymer clay?
Goldstitche: Epileptic power supply has been a huge challenge. I also often rely on alternative power sources, which skyrocket utility costs.
ArtzmaniaNG: How do you hope your jewelry connects with those who wear it?
Goldstitche: I hope people see not only the incredibly finished jewelry but also the love and passion put into every handcrafted piece.
ArtzmaniaNG: Have you received any memorable stories or feedback from customers?
Goldstitche: Feedback from clients has been overwhelmingly positive, the most recurring being that our earrings are more beautiful up close and highly versatile.
ArtzmaniaNG: What are your goals for the future of your jewelry business?
Goldstitche: To establish and leverage partnerships with relevant brands and individuals so as to enhance brand awareness, promotion, and revenue growth. Meanwhile, there are lots of splendid ideas up my sleeves, and I can’t wait to show them.
ArtzmaniaNG: What advice do you have for aspiring polymer clay jewelry makers looking to start their own business?
Goldstitche: My best advice is to get proper training. Having a knowledge of the nitty-gritty of polymer clay will help you troubleshoot when challenges occur.ArtzmaniaNG: Lastly, tell us a surprising facts about yourself that we might not know
Goldstitche: I was a mathematician from childhood, studied microbiology, and worked as a banker for more than a decade. Currently, I am an Artisan and Entrepreneur.
